4/26/14 Wielgus has a big, strong frame. FB sat 83-86, touched 89 twice. Velo and direction to plate better out of stretch. Pulls front side off line, often running fastball up and off plate. Ball has life and late action when he stays on-line and gets down in the zone. Mixed in a SL at 72-74. Command was erratic (4 BB in 3 IP), but recorded five of nine outs via strikeout.

8/3/13 Wielgus sat 83-86, while touching 87 from a high 3/4 arm slot with a high leg lift delivery. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound lefty has a heavy fastball that he mixed with a 71 mph curveball. Wielgus commanded the zone and his fastball showed good late life.

9/25/12 Wielgus is ranked No. 5 in the Class of 2015, and was as good as billed. Wielgus threw four innings on Saturday giving up just one run on two hits. He struck out eight, including seven of the final nine batters he faced. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound lefty showed an 84 mph fastball with good late run. He also commanded his 72 mph curveball and 74 mph changeup effectively. Wielgus has a projectable frame and a size 14 shoe that indicates additional size and velocity are inevitable.

8/22/12 Wielgus is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound left handed pitcher who topped out at 84 mph with more in the tank. He also showed a sharp breaking 73 mph curveball and a 73 mph changeup that has good arm side run and late sink. Wielgus showed control of all three pitches and advanced mechanics for a pitcher his age. Wielgus is a very solid candidate to be a member of the 2013 Team Pennsylvania roster for the Midwest Future Games.
