10/18/14 Dougherty sat 77-78 from a high 3/4 arm slot with much more in the tank. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound righty is fluid in his delivery and displayed good tilt to the plate. Dougherty commanded the strike zone with three pitches also showcasing a 72 mph changeup thrown at fastball arm speed and a 68 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation. The senior is likely to see additional velocity for several years to come as his frame continues to mature and he incorporates more of his lower half in his delivery.
