OF/LHP Emilio Saavedra was the top senior positional player we saw between the two Fall Invite showcases and there’s present tools in his game; college coaches need to be on the Quebec native. Mature with strength at 5-foot-10, 194-pounds and the left-hander hitter has a gap-to-gap, line-drive approach, although he flashed the ability to lift at times. Saavedra posted a peak exit velocity of 96.2mph, peak distance of 342ft and Sweet Spot% of 54%. His arm strength was on display from both positions, posting the top outfield velocity at 89mph and top infield velocity at 88mph (1B). Saavedra closed out his day running a 4.10 30-yard dash. There’s also potential as a left-handed pitcher where he sat 82-83mph and paired it with a changeup and curveball.
