Riley Barker: RHP/1B, (2028) N/A, RI. 6-foot-3, 210-pound lanky long frame. Raw projectable at the plate, the right-handed hitter's 80 mph exit velocity ranks him 1st at the event. Began in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth rhythmic load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was quick, displayed an upward swing plane and high finish. He found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Pull side approach. Solid in the infield, displayed a velocity of 72 mph; had sure hands, smooth footwork, and a clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a long loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.88. Projectable on the mound, used a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing good arm speed. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses easy effort. Showed tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands square with upright finish. Threw his fastball 77 mph and topped out at 78 mph; shows both sides of the plate control with straight movement. (Max spin 1528; Avg 1477). Throws a 1/7 curveball (68-69) that has glove side control and swing and miss action. (Max spin 1678; Avg 1678). Showed arm side control and fading action on his changeup (73-74).
