Body: 6-foot-2, 185-pound slender frame, some projection remaining. Square shoulders and slender build will support additional development.
Hit: Started in a tall slightly open stance with a compact smooth load, lands in an athletic hitting position. Medium leg kick and longer stride present. Some bat speed, with feel for the barrel. Good extension on his finish, upward swing.
Power: 87 mph exit velocity. Natural loft in the bat path, gap to gap approach with carry.
Defense: Infield, Sure hands, quick footwork, clean exchange. Movements laterally were quick. Sneaky athletic footwork around the bag and quick hands.
Arm: 70 Infield velocity. Quick short arm stroke gets the ball out quickly. Accurate arm from multiple slots.
Speed: 7.99, fair runner once he gets underway. Some athleticism present on the base paths.
Summary: LHH first baseman with good feel for the barrel. Balanced athletic approach, slender build will allow him to add some strength and continue his development. Has some POP at present that will continue to develop and give him a shot at his share of doubles and HRs. Quick athletic actions from the 1B position. Sure hands with quick exchanges and good footwork around the bag.
