Physical Projection: 5-7, 160lb. Medium/Slight catchers build. Young prospect, early on in his physical development. Additional functional strength will come as he matures.
Offensive Analysis: Stance at the shoulders, weight balanced and hands just off the back shoulder. Controlled toe tap stride, wrapping load with the hands, high back elbow. Launch is on a slightly uphill path through contact. Works for extension, quick hands. 77.4 mph EV. 8.02 sixty time (laser).
Defensive Analysis: 2.38 sec. POP time. 60 mph C velo. Quick exchanges, short release just off the ear. Slightly staggered stance, avg flexibility. Short quick footwork, moderate effort and follow through. Throws carried to his glove side of the bag at 2nd.
Summary: Young catching prospect showed flashes of potential at the plate. Feel for the barrel and quick hands, adding strength will increase bat speed and give him a chance to hit. The 2024 grad is early on in his maturation, adding arm strength and flexibility will help him reach the ceiling.
