Position: SS/2B, true infield profile.
Body: 5-foot-10, 170-pound lean frame with projection remaining.
Hit: Started in a balanced slightly crouched stance with a smooth load and short bat wrap, then used a controlled soft stride to initiate his swing. Above average bat speed. High finish, slightly uphill bat path.
Power: 87 mph exit velocity. gap to gap approach. Carried a 2B to deep RF during game play.
Defense: Infield, Soft hands fields the ball out front, smooth footwork, clean natural exchange at the mid section. Fluid.
Arm: 87 Infield velocity. Short arm action, an-over-the-top slot, consistent accuracy with carry to 1B.
Speed: 7.11 plays up in game with above average instinct.
Summary: Very nice all around player. Instincts and IQ are some of the tops in the class. Solid middle infielder with plenty of arm strength to play any INF position. Switch hitter showed nice power from the left side at the event. Mature approach and understanding of the zone.
5-9, 160lbs Lean frame. Projects to add functional strength with future player development and maturity. 7.27 sixty time (laser). 83 mph exit velocity RH, 84 mph exit velocity LH (tee). 85 mph infield velocity. Switch hitter showed good feel for the barrel and a gap to gap approach from both sides. Simple approach from the right side, weight stacked inside the feet, uses a short stride with medium length to push the hands back and coil the barrel at the top. Worked the middle of the field with a natural loft in the bat path and good extension to follow through. Slightly open stance from the left side. Separation and barrel lag more pronounced from the left side. Smooth footwork and soft hands in the infeld. Showed the ability to maintain momentum throughout the fielding process. Worked to field the ball just off the left of his midline, transferred at the belt and got the ball out cleanly with an OTT arm slot. Throws showed plenty of carry to play any infield position.
