5’11, 150-pound OF showed an intriguing all-around skill-set in a projectable frame. Medium, athletic frame w/ high-waist, well-proportioned lean strength, projectable. Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, very slightly crouched stance w/ hand rhythm into a hanging leg kick to square and short hand load. Generates bat speed through the zone. Understands how to use his frame to generate bat speed, intriguing upside as frame continues to mature. Ball jumps off the barrel at times, projectable pull power type. Defensively, moves well in the OF w/ projectable carry to target arm strength and speed to have a chance to stay in CF. On the mound, the righty pitched from a full wind-up into ¾ to H ¾ release. Quick arm. Athletic, repeats w/ some slot deception. FB shows occasional short arm-side run. SL flashed proper rotation, moved more like a power CB when finished correctly. Inconsistent on this day. Firm straight CH. Around the zone, tools to command. Generated 4 swing and misses on 10 swings, including 4 of 9 on the FB.
More slightly built at 5-foot-11, 140-pounds, and clearly still developing strength, Kincaid played and performed much bigger, throughout the weekend, than his frame suggests. The right-handed hitter possesses some twitch to the hands, and delivered some firm contact against quality pitching. His bat speed provided for line drives from gap-to-gap, and he confidently hunted pitches in all counts. The center fielder is unafraid defensively with quality glove work, and a quick first step.
