The 5-foot-6, 165-pound catcher flashed some promising tools at Top Prospect Games in June. Hale’s arm strength stood out behind the dish logging the best C Velo at TPG (83 mph). Plus a solid exit velo at 81, indicating some pop potential, but Hale looks to become more physical this offseason to help his offensive/defensive production. Hale is a solid catch and throw backstop w/ potential.

5-foot-6, 165-pound well proportioned stocky build. Offensively, shows good presence in the box. Setup is athletic with a majority of weight preloaded on backside. Gathers with a leg lift then moves forward with a late hand movement up. Really gets the most out of his frame and gets into good position to hit. Shows ability to get to the baseball quick. Can do multiple things with the bat. Swing can be high effort at times causing him to pull off the ball. Behind the plate he showed great glove presentation and ability to stick the baseball. Supported a quick transition to an accurate arm. A guy to keep an eye on as he develops.
