The 5-foot-10, 175-pound MTSU commit has proven to be a strong offensive middle infielder. Proportional frame with present strength and some projection. At the dish, simple stance with toe tap load generating some elite bat speed (Upper 70s-80s mph per Blast). Swings with intent to do damage, leading to consistent hard contact and high-percentile exit velos (Max: 103.2 mph; Avg: 88.9 mph per Trackman). Present gap to gap power with poolside upside as he hit multiple long balls to L-CF. Hit a tape measure solo-shot late vs Indiana in game one, while picking up a single, walk and two RBIs vs Missouri. Defensively, has the tools to stay at SS as a 7.3-7.4 runner with left side arm strength. Good footwork with solid hands and clean transitions, can improve on his consistency, but plays hard tending to make an occasional aggressive mistake. Vondohlen has a strong offensive presence with some run producing capabilities as well as play all three infield positions.
