The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Gurden is a righty hitting and lefty throwing two-way prospect. Higher upside as a position player, but also intriguing lefty arm to follow. At the dish, balanced stance with solid bat speed. Stays smooth and consistent, spraying line drives to all fields with some pull side power. Defensively, moves well (60: 7.00) with solid footwork around the bag and decent hands. Short, stab arm motion with plenty of strength. On the bump, short arm action working to 3/4 slot with FB at 77-80. Mixed CB and CH (Both 67-69) with natural shape and good arm speed.
6-foot-1, 180-pound athletic frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 87 mph. Begins in a crouched wide stance, has a small load and uses a short stride before his swing. Showed a flat swing plane. Line drive approach. In the infield, made throws across the field up to 80 mph; had a fluid exchange and raw hands. Used a short arm action and a high ¾ slot. On the mound, he used a short arm action and a high ¾ angle. He is a feel type pitcher and uses some effort. An athletic balance point. Lands open. Produced a fastball that came in at 77-79 mph.
