8-15-2018: Six-foot-three, 160 pounds. Lean, projectable frame. Clean, fluid arm action from release. Balanced delivery with repeatable mechanics. Fastball sat 86-88 mph and showed occasional cut when working glove side. Only other offering on display was sweeping curveball with 2/8 shape at 75-78. Particularly tough pitch on left-handed hitters. Fowler was exceptional for the Rebels as a freshman this past spring but struggled to maintain that production for Hyannis. Between the age, frame, arm action and stuff, there’s still plenty to like. Expect another solid season from the polished lefty in 2019. (D Jurik)
