6-3, 190-pound corner infielder showed a big jump across the board since we last saw him at this time last year, highlighted by a 8 mph tick in exit velocity and 9 mph tick in arm strength in the infield. Prototypical corner infield size w/ some lean strength, some present upper body strength. Super projectable. Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into toe tap and short hand load. Generates above average bat speed through the zone (per Trackman, led the event with 88.83 average exit velocity, top-end of 94.07. Simple, repeatable swing, little movement, 2nd highest hard hit %. Some length w/ some loft, intriguing power upside as frame continues to mature (3rd longest max distance of 339). Hammered a double to deep left field in game. Defensively, shows solid hands w/ long arm swing and projectable carry to target arm strength.
6-foot-2, 175-pound; 3B/RHP. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 80 mph. Started in balanced stance, had a smooth load and used a short stride right before his swing. Displayed a level swing plane and above average bat speed. In the infield, showed his ability to throw 70 mph across the diamond; displayed rhythmic footwork, sure hands and a clean exchange. Used a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action. On the mound, his fastball sat 73-75 mph. He showed the most control on his curveball (61-63 mph) when he stayed on top. When pitched in sequence with his fastball, his changeup (67-69 mph) can keep hitters off balance.
