Ensworth lost two big pieces from last season with Devin Obee and Andrew Yu (Both at Duke). However, McKinley is back for his senior campaign and will fill the void offensively as run producer. He's got a strong blend of power/speed toolset and will have to cover more ground in the OF (likely moving to CF with Obee departure). The Tigers have some quality pieces in place to compete in a tough D2-AA.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound outfielder has made tremendous strides since last seeing him this summer at Lakepoint, where he showed flashes of big pop from the right side. Great projectable frame with present lower half strength and plenty of room to add more. More squared up, balanced stance with small leg kick and simple load, improving his timing leading to more consistencies in swing path. Easy bat speed and showing more confidence in the box. Really raised his floor with the development of the hit tool, proving to be more of a consistent offensive contributor. Strong runner, who uses his long spider-like legs to cover some serious ground from all three outfield positions.
6-foot-2, 190-pound outfielder has great projectable frame with some lower half strength. Strong athlete with great range and glides as he tracks down balls in the gap. Balanced, open stance with small leg kick generating solid bat speed and some juice. Some barrel inconsistency with timing, but high-ceiling power driving the ball to the pull side. Hit a few long balls over the summer that really jumped off the bat. Defensively, capable of playing all three outfield positions with developing arm strength. High-ceiling prospect who can become a force once he continues to get feel for frame.
