5-Foot-10, 155-Pound frame, thin frame with long levers, ran a 7.90 60, Offensively; slightly open stance rhythm to load, simple load simple stride, limited backside rotation, limited space between feet, loses stability with front foot at contact, chest leaves to finish, short finish, 81 mph exit velo, Defensively; good target, soft hands to receive, high set, high transfer, transfer to ear, head clear on release, pop out of legs to release, minimal carry, knees close together to block, 68 mph arm strength.
10/14/18 - Pop Time: 2.22-2.31, Position Velocity: C-66, OF-75, Exit Velocity: 80
5-foot-9, 155-pound, RHH showed intriguing bat speed while picking up a walk in game. Medium, athletic frame, w/ well-proportioned lean strength, projectable. Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential. Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, very slightly crouched stance w/ hand rhythm into leg kick to slightly open and no hand load. Generates bat speed through the zone. Would benefit from some hand separation to create a better attack angle to the baseball, landing square to keep the hips through the baseball. Learning to get lower half consistently involved, occasionally swings w/ just arms. Had a shorter leg kick during BP as opposed to in game. Pull oriented approach. Defensively, worked out in the OF and behind the plate while playing some third base in game. In the OF, shows projectable arm strength w/ ability to track the baseball. Defensively, presents a solid target for his pitchers w/ short glove rest. Would benefit from presenting the target a little lower, starts it just above the hitter’s knees. Would like to see him move his throwing hand behind him, currently sits where he gives sign, leaving vulnerability to foul tips. Agile, shows a want and ability to box the baseball. As a thrower, shows developing footwork and arm strength.
