Athletic frame at 6'2, 175 and has recovered from a torn ACL in only a matter of months to show some dominance on the mound this spring. He works at his own pace and does a great job of maintaining a rhythm without working too quickly. Jennings refrains from getting too mechanical by using his athleticism on the mound and using what seems to be a natural and repeatable delivery. He loads into his back leg before descending upon the plate with a slightly closed stride. His arm reaches down and just a little behind his body before exploding with some quickness through a high 3/4 slot. Jennings sits 90-93 with a fastball that shows a little sink when kept down in the zone and will touch 94 a number of times throughout a game. His slider is a go-to pitch that can come out of his hand anywhere from 77-84 and is able to be thrown in any count and situation. Although he rarely utilizes his changeup during high school games, he shows it during warm-ups and seems to throw it with some confidence. Jennings' two biggest strengths are the quickness of his arm and his ability to throw two plus pitches through the same release point. Expect to see him continue impressing on the mound, especially as he adds strength to his lower half.
