Positional Profile: 1B/RHP Body mechanics are very similar to matt harvey. Easy mechanics with fluid leg lift gaining ground to home upon lift. Can get reachy with his glove hand to home but has solid hand turnover and levers his shoulder well, as he will throw consistant strikes with his offerings. Opens his hips up well, but could probably gain some additional velo by staying closed longer upon seperation. Slows down arm speed on breaking ball and advanced hitters will pick that tendacy up. Late break however on pitch
Body: 6-0, 175-pounds. Athletic build, room to grow
Delivery: He works with a knee to stomach leg kick that with more time could create some serious power. With a runner on he is slower to the plate which could make it easier for the run game.
Arm Action: R. Hargrove works from an over the top arm slot that helps create downhill tilt. He has a smooth arm action.
FB: T82, 80-81 mph. FB has slight armside run to it, will play best low in the zone and creating weak contact. Can locate to both sides of the plate and moving around the zone will make him very effective T2031, 1964 average rpm.
CB: 67-70 mph. CB has good shape, will play best as a way to keep bitters off the FB. He can steal strikes with it and expand the zone with two strikes to get a potential swing and miss T2057, 2031 average rpm.
