The sophomore got a lot of experience last year as a freshman during Rockwall Heath’s Run to a state championship. This year, with the departure of some key veterans there is going to be more expected out of Hoover. He is a big physical kid, who is going to be asked to contribute at the plate and on the mound. He showed a mid 80’s fastball that will see the velo rise as the spring goes on. He has some natural power in his Left Handed Swing at the plate and should have a chance to be a run producer batting behind Williams.
