Parsons’ upside should carry him as a highly scouted recruit throughout the summer as he has a fastball that runs up to 90 mph with a quick arm. At 6-foot-1, 157-pounds, he stands to pack on more weight and muscle which should aid in the rise of his velocity. He shows some feel for both a curveball (66-67) and slider (72-73) as well as a changeup at 75-76. What is most intriguing to me about Parsons is the athleticism he shows on the mound, and the fact that his frame has much more to come. He appears to be a Texas arm on the rise, and if given the chance to accumulate innings at the next level, could blossom into a starter.

6-foot-1, 155-pound wiry frame with long arms. Works from a 3/4 slot with whippy arm action and a good delivery. The fastball velocity was only 79-81 mph at the end of the game but he repeats his delivery and the ball comes out well. Curveball was 61-64 mph, and the changeup was 69 mph.
