Positional Profile: SS/OF RHH/INF…will add needed strength in future. Solid defender, will add raw arm strength. Upside to bat/power combo with adjustments. Run speed will continue to improve, athleticism present, good mover on baseball field. Upside, fun to watch develop.
Body: 5-11, 152-pounds. Great build/frame to add needed strength. Lean type body, projects well in future.
Hit: RHH. Length to stride, body drifts forward with stride, length between feet post stride. With stride, keep weight onto back side. Back foot inconsistent with rotation. Work to develop rotational back foot, with shoe laces to pitcher after rotation. With distance created between feet post stride, recommend developing linear movement with back foot moving forward, hitting into firm front side. Back foot can slide away from plate on pitches away for balance, otherwise drive forward. Bent at waist with swing, work for upright posture, this will be helped driving into firm front side. Hands/barrel in good launch position, takes solid path to hit zone with hands/barrel. Pull approach, pulls off, work to stay thru baseball with extension. 62.9 mph bat speed with 16 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 87 max exit velocity, averaged 79.4 mph. 288' max distance. Nice bat/power combo in future with chance to exceed. Opportunities for adjustment present to improve contact consistency and impact of baseball.
Arm: RH. INF-70 mph. Arm works, will improve with added strength. Needs to close front shoulder in throwing process currently, presently stays open hindering arm speed. Needs long toss program to firm throwing mechanics and improve arm speed.
Defense: Athleticism present. Feet work getting body into position to field. Dead feet in fielding process, needs to learn to work thru baseball consistently with feet. Glove in solid position, hands work…needs to work to field baseball out front, fields deep at this time. Will be solid defender with adjustments.
ATH: 7.27 runner in the 60. 1.77 and 4.03 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Moves well, speed will increase with added strength.
