A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Slider
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Slider
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.
The athlete's fastest 0-10-yard split time in the given event year. Measured in seconds.

30 Yard Dash
The athlete's fastest 0-30-yard split time in the given event year. Measured in seconds.
3.98
60 Yard Dash
The athlete's fastest 0-60-yard time in the given event year. Measured in seconds.
7.13
Top Speed (MPH)
The athlete's fastest split time converted to miles per hour.
RSI
The reactive strength index measurement of an athlete's explosiveness by comparing their jump height to the ground contact time in between their jumps. On a scale of 0-5.
Vertical Jump
A measure of any athlete's body strength and reach calculated from the flight time divided by the contact time.
Jake Fults, Dallas Jesuit (TX), 2025 Kentucky Positional Profile: SS/OF RHH/INF Will add strength in future. Solid defender, did not see today, have seen in past. Actions present with feet working well. Will have avg arm strength. Solid hitter now with opportunities to improve. Good player to watch develop, good baseball player. Body: 5-11, 165-pounds. Good build/frame to add strength in future. Projects very well physically in future. Hit: RHH. Lands in good position to hit, rotational back foot, movement varies, would like to see drive consistently towards pitcher maximizing lower use. Right shoulder lean over right hip at contact creating slight uphill path with swing. Work to be more upright with posture, or work to get barrel on plane. Barrel/hands start in good position. Minor barrel tip movement with stride creates some length. Bat/hand speed will improve with strength. Overall, hands/barrel work fine. Uphill plane created by shoulder tilt. 67.2 mph bat speed with 11 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 94 max exit velocity, averaged 81.2 mph. 339' max distance. Solid bat/power combo in future. Development opportunities present. Solid hitter now with chances to continue to improve. Arm: RH. ATH: 7.12 runner in the 60. 1.70 and 3.98 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Runs well, upright finish. Speed will increase as he adds strength, develop slight lean forward when running. 19.60 max vertical.

The highly regarded freshman looks to continue the trend of elite SS play at Jesuit. His instincts in the field are evident by some of the plays he made in the game making tough plays look easy. In the batters box, he had one hit on the day, but you can see the bat speed. He is going to get better and better as the year goes on and will be one of the top freshman in the state.
