Positional Profile: C/3B RHH/C…needs to add strength. Solid catch and throw. Opportunities for adjustments with approach and swing, upside to bat/power with changes.
Body: 5-9, 169-pounds. Solid build/frame to add strength.
Hit: RHH. Lands with length between feet after stride. Rotational back foot with limited acceleration. Back foot slides away from plate at times, doesn't drive forward. Would recommend working on linear movement to back foot with length of separation between feet after stride. This will improve effectiveness of lower and acceleration. Hands/barrel start in good position to launch. Length to swing with barrel working around. Must work to take more direct path to zone with both barrel and hands. 70.2 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 79.6 mph. 306' max distance. Opportunities for adjustments present. Upside to bat/power combo with changes.
Arm: RH. C-81 mph. Arm works well showing arm quickness. Carry to throws. Decent glove to hand exchange, can be little higher giving arm shorter path to throw.
Defense: 1.93-2.01 pop times. Receives well, blocks well, does a good job of framing pitches. Like the way he handles different arms.
ATH: 7.05 runner in the 60. 1.68 and 3.94 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Solid acceleration, runs hard. 24.50 max vertical.
Positional Profile: C/3B Good player showing quality tools. Shows catch tools with solid pop times in workout, raw arm strength can improve. Good approach to hit with line drive contact, upside to bat/power combo. Like the upside.
Body: 5-9, 175-pounds. Good frame/build to add strength, showing some lower strength now.
Hit: RHH. Solid set up with stance, varies approach with weight shift back to initiate stride with some length, also shows weight shift back with no stride. Either way shows some linear movement to lower 1/2. Solid job of getting lower involved, can improve by getting back foot turned more allowing back hip to drive thru more. No stride approach can be effective 2 strike approach. Solid swing components. Barrel/hands in good position to launch. Can shorten swing some, good job off getting on plane. 69 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 84.0 mph. 318' max distance. Solid bat/power combo in future. Will develop increased pull side power. Finds barrel with line drive contact.
Arm: RH. C-80 mph. Arm works well. Accuracy to throws present. Raw arm strength will continue to improve.
Defense: 1.92-2.09 pop times. Solid receiver. Hands work with glove to hand exchange. Footwork shows avg quickness, with good direction. Handles pitchers.
ATH: 7.22 runner in the 60. Runs well for primary position catcher. 25.00 max vertical.
Vizual Edge: 75.51 Edge Score
