03.31.17 - Martinez, a 6-1 180-pound southpaw, shows decent command of a three-pitch mix. His fastball clocks in the 81-84 mph range, while topping out at 86 once in his outing. Martinez offers two off-speed pitches, a high-arching curveball and a circle changeup. The curveball, which has 1-7 shape, is consistently coming in at 65-66 mph. Though there is a lot of depth to the pitch, Martinez shows the pitch very early, which gives it a large looping action out of the hand.
