Clubhouse leader for pop up guy of the year for me so far. I wasn’t familiar with Rusher before Saturday, but he was super impressive in his outing. The Fordham signee went 6 shutout innings with a fastball that sat 88-92 most of the outing. He commanded it well to both sides of the plate, and there is room for more velo down the road. His go to secondary pitch was his changeup. He threw it to lefties and righties and generated a lot of weak contact and some swing and miss. The breaking ball had a short break to it with a little depth. Rusher adds depth to an already deep pitching staff. Innings will be tough to come by, but I bet by the end of the year he will throw some big innings for the Dragons.
