Good body at 6-foot-2, 180-pounds. Ran 60-yard dash in 7.67. Aggressive right-handed swing, great length through torso at stride and load, fast rotation through the zone. 81 mph exit velocity off of tee. Works well side to side in the field, big gather with momentum, 81 mph acorss the field. On the mound, uses lower half well to generate speed, shoulder tilt with deep arm swing in back, quick arm over the top. Fastball worked 77-80, spun 12/6 shape curveball at 69 mph, and showed 71-72 mph changeup.
01.06.18 Porter has a projectable frame for a freshman at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds. The right-handed hitter starts from an open, relaxed stance. Simple load back as he triggers his hands, lands square and balanced. Short inside-out path, quick hands, loose finish and an exit velocity of 76 mph. On the infield, Porter has soft hands, still developing footwork, and throws from a high slot with a long arm swing at 76 mph.
