Munson is a 5-10 155 lean athletic OF with twitch and lower body quickness. An online runner that moves at a 6.96/60 clip and will only get faster as he continues to fill out and add overall body mass and lower leg strength. The LH bat is intriguing in that he has a conventional even props square setup to hit and rocks back with a toe lift and sets it back down softly into avg separation and is near ready for launch to hit. Could use a little more stretch on the load and this will create more leverage to do additional damage. The bat has a flatter online plane with some whip through the zone to impact the baseball moving forward. The swing works and is geared for the middle of the field, which I like, he just needs to get considerably stronger and incorporate a passionate approach to the gym in getting bigger and stronger over the next 3 seasons. Has time on his hands to accomplish this and the base is there to get better and quickly with hard work to make the strength factor his biggest mountain to tackle. Solid footwork coming to the baseball in the OF and shows soft hands and the feet work to get ready to create momentum to throw. The arm has a tendency to cut off out front and doesn’t really get the added and needed extension out front to power through the baseball for the velocity and distance he’s needing. If he lets the arm go and doesn’t look to stop his momentum through release, we are talking another 3-4 mph on his throws and added depth to his target. With being a young 16 year old and with 3 years to go, time is his asset, but it’s time to get moving in that direction now. But is a definite follow to keep an eye on!
