Larsen is a projectable thin and wiry rising sophomore with avg actions defensively with an open glove and low to the ground approach. Plays from the ground up and is methodical in his movement patterns. Needs to be more aggressive in coming and getting the baseball with a focus on shortening the distance to his intended target with his throws that are online and accurate. Confident to the backhand side with an open glove and loose wrist. The bat shows some slight uphill and has the loose wrists to release the barrel for impact. Needs the strength component and really needs to focus on getting bigger and stronger as his metrics are below now and can improve significantly with the gym as his main focus. With a potential D1 SS in front of him for the next two years and a D1 committed 3B’man as well, the left side is blocked up. 2B appears to be the spot right now. Can really make some headway in getting into the lineup once the body fills outs and gets stronger to play to the speed of the game. I will keep an eye on him, as I see his team significantly as one of my main focuses on talent in the state. Mid follow right now and would really like to see him jump in my eyes and look at the opportunities he has in front of him.
