A large streamlined athletic build with long arms and legs, with plenty of room to fill over the next 4 seasons. Young ‘28 from a powerhouse HS program that produces college and at times pro talent. A two way talent, that I like at this point as a position player and see his room for development expanding further as he continues to grow and add natural maturing strength. The bat has some potential as he adds strength in his forearms and wrists. Features an upright even prop square stance. Tends to rich his body to the ball to hit and needs to stay back and utilize his lower ½ more and learn to sit into his legs on approach. Gets separation to a 45 degree launch with a short compact stroke to hit. Finishes upright and spins thru contact, instead of sinking into his legs, which allows the bat to stay on plane better. The online efficiency max of 58% can drastically improve as the legs come into play. Defensively plays below the baseball and bends at the knees/waist to get low to the ball on approach. Shows some actions, yet the feet are educated and puts his nose to the ball. The arm plays well with proper arm action and release. An arm velo of 77 across the diamond is avg for his age and I can see a big improvement coming to the mid 80’s as he fills and matures. The run time does need improving as he ages and gains lower ½ quad strength and more push power. One to follow because of his young size and the program he plays in and the coaches and people around that program.
