Dickerson has a long lanky 6-foot-6 frame with plenty of projection left to it. Normal effort delivery and repeats it well. Dickerson is upright at his balance point before moving down the mound with a down and out type stride. Could utilize the lower half more. Arm swing is shorter with some deception and whip through release. Releases from a lower three-quarter arm slot with a fastball that has occasional crossfire action and a tendency to bore in on right handers. The fastball stayed 85-88 early and was more 85-86 later, but showed the ability to grab 86-87 when he wanted to. Touched 89 a few times in the first two innings. Showed two offspeed pitches, a changeup and a breaking ball. Had the best feel and most confidence in the changeup, which he threw at 80-83 mph and was more of a straight changeup that tunneled well off of the fastball. The breaking ball varied in shaped and showed average feel for the zone 73-74 mph, but did not go to that pitch often. Starter profile that will need to continue to refine the secondary and has a chance to be a big arm down the road. Virginia Tech commit.
