The redshirt sophomore came on for one inning of work and showed some electric stuff. 93-96 mph with the fastball and showed some slight cut when working to the glove side. The slider was the big winner on the day; 83-86 mph with sweep and depth. It spun at 3100+ rpm, with quite a few hovering in the 3300+ rpm range. Quick three-quarter arm that works with effort and intent. Reliever profile and a guy that could come in and throw sixty-plus percent sliders and be very successful at the next level.

Athletic projectable frame. Controlled delivery with good tempo. Athletic arm action throwing from a three quarter arm slot. Creates fast arm speed with regular effort. Average lower half at best, tells me more is there just with more-lower half involvement. Fastball shows later life on the pitch with arm side run. Pitch was up to 89 mph sitting in the 87-89 range. Has reported been higher prior. Breaking ball is a plus pitch with potential. Tight spin and later life. 75 mph. Has chance to be a plus pitch. Showed change in pen, not much in game. Lot of projection as he adds to frame. Potential to be an interesting prospect.
