Jones is 6-0 with a strong frame. He hits from the left side from an open leaned back athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely with violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, slightly uphill swing path, strong at contact point with extension through the ball, showed a good approach working primarily gap to gap, doubles power to middle of the field with more to pull side, exit velocity was 90. In the infield, gets behind the ball and fields with a wider base and average hands, works through the ball to a clean exchange, throws a three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 77. On the mound, he throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action and higher effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are level and closed, lands on line with a hard fall off finish and recoil. Fastball was 73-76, with some armside run and a bit of late sink. Curveball was 64-69 with good armspeed, showed two shapes, a sharp sweeping slider with 2/8 break, and bigger gradual 1/7 breaking curveball. Showed a change-up that was at the bottom of his fastball velocity range, good armspeed with heavy fade to it.
