Brinkman is 5-11 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. Behind the plate, quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short loose arm action, position velocity was 74 and pop times 1.98-2.07, showed some accuracy. Receiving, he puts his knee down to get low and works up to the ball, quick soft hands receiving, showed some sway despite having kneed down. Showed versatility working out in the outfield as well where his velocity was 90, long loose quick arm from a high three-quarters slot.

Hit: RHH. Hits from a balanced, slightly open stance at the plate. Small leg kick load with good hand separation. Stays short to the ball with a level swing path, utilizing quick hands and fast bat speed through the zone. Stays behind the ball well, generating good lower half involvement. Gets good extension through and past contact finishing strong with two hands. Strong gap to gap line drive approach.
Power: 80 mph exit velocity from the tee. Developing power to the gaps and alleys.
Arm: RH. C - 70 mph. Throws with short arm action from a high three quarter slot.
Defense: 2.02 - 2.09 pop times. Stays low coming out of the crouched position with quick, clean exchanges. Gains ground well, replaces feet and squares shoulders to the bag with a quick release. Showed accuracy on throws to the bag. Quiet body when receiving and sticks the pitch very well.
Run: 4.34 home-to-first time.
