Combs is 6-5 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Keeps hands inside, short to ball and has some strength at contact. Slightly uphill swing path, line drive swing, showed a good approach working gap to gap, exit velocity was 85. In the infield, gets body behind ball and fields with average hands. Works through ball to a clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action, infield velocity was 81. Ran a 7.25 60 yard dash. On the mound he throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a longer arm action that is loose and quick, easy effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands open with a fall off finish. Fastball 80-83, with with late run to armside that also got some depth. Curveball was 68-69 with some armspeed and gradual 10/4 break.
