Laraia looked stronger than when we saw him in August. He showed some improved power to his pull side at the plate, giving him easy doubles power that way with a chance to hit some home runs. At short, looked very athletic and smooth, arm action was clean and he made all of the throws and plays that were there to be made.
8.9.17: Laraia is 6-1 with a lankier athletic frame, he hits from the left side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance. Short leg kick stride on line, smooth load back, some rhythm to swing, explosive lower half and some balance to his swing. Short to ball, uphill path, some extension through the ball, pull approach, exit velocity was 76. At short, works around the ball, fields with average hands.
