5.10.16:  Lutkins has a lanky frame and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a drop and drive delivery. He has a short, loose arm action, generating velocity with normal effort. His shoulders are level and closed as he strides to a closed landing with an athletic finish. Lutkins’ fastball had heavy run and sat 77-80. His changeup had good armspeed and was 73. He threw a late, sweeping slider that was 70-72. Lutkins is a strike-thrower and pounded the zone, he also showed a good feel for shutting down the running game.

9.23.15:  Lutkins throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a classic lefty crossfire delivery. He has a short, quick arm action and generates easy velocity. His shoulders are closed and level as he strides out to a closed landing. Lutkins’ fastball has heavy run and was 76-78. He threw a late-breaking 2/8 slider that ran 66-70. His changeup was very good, running 70-75 with armside run and good armspeed. He showed good command of all of his pitches.
