Ratlief is 6-0 with a lankier athletic 190 pound frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short smooth load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, showed a pull approach, potential to grow into some power, exit velocity was 85. Behind the plate, clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 75 and pop times 2.06-2.19. Receiving, works with a crouch and shows some sway. Ran a 7.33 60 yard dash.
