Griffin is a lanky lefty and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a tall and fall delivery. His arm action is short and a bit stiff and he generates velocity with normal effort. His shoulders are downhill and slightly closed as he strides out to a square landing before falling off a bit as he finishes. Griffin’s fastball has heavy armside run and ran 65-69. His slider had big, gradual 10/4 break and ran 54-57. His changeup was thrown with good armspeed and had hard fading action to it, running 58-63. Griffin showed decent feel for all three pitches and the ability to work down in the zone with them.
