VA/DC PreSeason All-State Central
Basso is 5-11 with a lean 155 pound athletic frame that has some strength present and plenty of projection left to it. He throws from a very low three-quarters arm slot, short very loose quick arm action and easier effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are downhill and closed, lands closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 80-84, touching 85, with two plane action, sink plays up to gloveside and run plays up to armside. Slider was 68-70 with good armspeed and sharp hard 10/4 break to it that has a bit of power sweep to it. Change-up was 70-72 with some armspeed and heavy sink with a bit of late armside run to it.
