Collins has a strong compact frame and he showed it on the first pitch of the game hitting a double off of the left field fence. He was very aggressive at the plate and teams are going to have a hard time pitching around him with Tomlin, Williams, Reynolds, Johnson, etc behind him. Square on line stance with a small leg lift to stride and swing had some uphill tilt hunting something to drive at all times. Defensively had nice actions at second base which is where he spent the majority of his time. Feet and hands worked and moved well around the bag.
