Stromberg has a strong athletic frame and played second base in the game. He looked comfortable there and made all of the plays that he needed to. At the plate, hits from the right side with an open stance. Very short to ball and barrel aware, line drive swing, uses whole field well. Had hard contact in three at-bats against three different pitchers and drew a walk in another at-bat. The video shows his two base hits to right-center, third at-bat was a lineout right at the third basemen. Stromberg is going to be the kind of hitter who hits for a high average at the next level, spraying line drives all around the field and mixing in some extra base hits when he lines a gap.

At third base, Stromberg is fine defensively, its the right position for him and he made all of his plays on the night. At the plate, Stromberg has a short line drive swing with some bat speed. Has high barrel awareness and looked comfortable in the box against Ayers. Worked gap to gap, singling to right center in one at bat and smoking a ball right at short for a double play in another one. The double play is in the video below, two steps either way and it was a second base hit for him. Also showed plate discipline working a walk in his first at-bat of the night. Has a chance to be a hitter who can hit for average with some doubles power at the next level.

Stromberg has a strong filled out frame, he hits from the right side and has a quick bat with a good approach, using the whole field. Line drive hitter who showed the ability to barrel the ball consistently, has a chance to be a high average hitter with extra base power to all fields.
1.29.17: Stromberg is 5-5 with a strong lower half to an athletic frame, hits from the right side from a taller stance, short stride back with short load into a wrap. Ok hips and decent lower balance, short to ball and works uphill through it. Line drive hitter who worked gap to gap, exit velocity of 73. In the infield, fields with a decent base and average hands. Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a shorter arm action, position velocity was 70.
