11.1.15: Gerade has a strong lower half to his frame and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a smooth drop and drive delivery. He has a short, loose, quick arm action that generates velocity with normal effort. His shoulders are closed and slightly downhill as he strides out on line and screws into a square landing before coming to an athletic finish. Gerade’s fastball has heavy run and he commanded it well to both sides of the plate, sitting 78-80 and touching 81. His slider has late, power, 10/4 break and is thrown with very good armspeed, running 73-74. Gerade’s delivery creates a lot of deception and he generates a lot of weak ground balls.

2.15.15 Gerade has a strong frame and throws from a low three-quarters slot. He has a loose arm action that is a bit shorter on the back side. He has good rhythm and his shoulders are closed and level at footstrike. He lands a bit closed but finishes in an athletic position. Gerade’s fastball had late run and sink to it and sat 74-76 mph. He threw a 10/4 slider with little action to it that came in 70-73 mph. Gerade threw a fading change-up with decent armspeed that ran 70-72 mph. He commanded his fastball and change-up very well. Positionally, Gerade hits from the right side and has a tall, balanced, open stance. He wraps his bat during his  load and has a short stride. He has a good approach with average balance throughout his swing.  Has average batspeed, generating an exit velocity of 67 mph off of the tee. He has a good approach and a long swing that generates line drives. Defensively, Gerade throws from a three-quarters arm slot and has average footwork around the bag.

7.14.15 Gerade has an athletic frame with a strong lower half and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a smooth drop and drive delivery. He has a short, loose arm action and a quick armstroke that generates velocity with normal effort. His shoulders are closed and level as he strides out on line to a closed landing before falling off as he finishes. Gerade’s fastball had late, heavy sink to it and ran 79-81. He also threw a late, tight, 10/4 slider with full armspeed that ran 73-74. He commanded both pitches very well. Offensively, hit from a tall, open stance.  Good rhythm in hands.  Smooth load back with a short stride that got on line.  At time struggles to get back to center.  Front foot strides open.  Average lower half.  Sits on backside.  Quick bat that had an exit velocity of 86 MPH.  Level swing path with good extension.  Line drive hitter with pull power.  In the field, threw from high ¾ arm slot that was short and quick.  Throws had some accuracy.  Positional velocity of 69 MPH.  Average hands with clean footwork, but was slow at times.  Clean exchanges and played through the ball.
