6.23.15 Hit from a balanced and athletic stance that was slightly crouched.  Fluid rhythm to swing with smooth load back.  Stride stays on line.  Average balance.  Lower half exploded to the baseball.  Fast hands.  Bat exit velocity of 83 mph.  Short, level swing with good extension.  Should be a consistent line drive hitter than can find the gaps.  In the outfield, threw from a high ¾ arm slot that was long and loose.  Throws were accurate.  Positional velocity of 81 mph.  Throws had some carry.  Average hands with fluid footwork that played through the ball.  Quick, clean exchanges.

2.22.15 Hit from a crouched stance that looked athletic and balanced.  Smooth load with a short stride that maintained balance.  Lower half was utilized to drive the ball.  Showed quick hands with a short line drive path that could hit the ball to all three parts of the field.  Had fluid rhythm during the round.  From the Outfield showed a loose arm that threw from a high ¾ arm slot.  Throws were accurate and had some carry.  Positional Velocity was 81 mph.  Displayed soft hands with clean exchanges.  Footwork was fluid and played through the ball.

Fall Top Prospect Games (UVA):  Davis is a 5-foot-9, 155 pound, Outfielder that sets up in a tall stance with a slight knee bend and high hands. Davis has a short compact stroke with a line drive approach that creates backspin. His athleticism will allow him to have a small skills game or be able to beat you by turning long singles into doubles. In the field, Davis was an outstanding athlete that got to the ball very quickly and had slightly above average arm strength at 81 mph. He was a very good route runner that was able to cut balls off in the gap and also had a very quick release once the ball was in his glove.
