VA/DC Limited Series East
Athletic frame standing around 5-foot-10. Behind the plate is a solid receiver with average arm strength. Displays accuracy around the bag on pops. At the plate it is an athletic setup that starts slightly closed. Hands show some rhythm in the load with average bat speed through the zone. Stayed back on an offspeed in game one resulting in a line drive single to center. Uses the whole field in approach.
Preseason All-State II
Miller is 5-10 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Keeps hands inside, slightly uphill line drive swing path, exit velocity was 77. Behind the plate, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters slot with a short arm action, velocity was 73 and pops were 2.17-2.25. Showed accuracy on his throw downs. On the mound, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action, normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands square with an athletic finish. Fastball was 72-75, touch 76, with some run to armside. Curveball had some armspeed and gradual 12/6 break at 64-65. Change-up was 64-68 with some armspeed and run to it.
