A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.

Cordeiro has really developed well with the bat over the past year and put together one of the top overall performances as he continues to flash upside on both sides of the game. Started his day with two of the loudest rounds of BP at the event and the top exit velocity at 99.6mph. The right-handed swing is looking looser and more violent, generating average EV’s above 90mph and a top distance of 359ft. The Etobicoke Rangers two-way sat 84-85 T86 on the mound and showed feel for his secondary stuff with a curveball at 74-76mph and a changeup at 77-79mph. A name college coaches from all levels should take a look at this summer throughout the summer tournament scene.

2026 RHP Lucas Cordeiro was one of the top underclassmen at the event and continues to get better each time we see him. 5-foot-9, 150-pounds, the arm is quick and long on the mound with clean mechanics. Had one of the cleanest bullpens with a fastball that sat 77-79mph along with a curveball at 66-67 with good top-to-bottom shape. 2026 who’s best days are ahead of him as he continues to develop.

2026 INF/RHP Lucas Cordeiro was another of the younger players in attendance but impressed with a good overall day. His infield velo of 78mph was tied for 4th at the event and looks the part with proper actions at 3B. 5-foot-9, 150-pounds with plenty of growing to come. Right-handed hitter put together a good round of BP with a lot of barrels (60%) and some sneaky pop for his size. Top exit velocity of 87.7mph.
