2024 RHP Luke Glenn has really jumped onto the scene this summer and has quickly become one of the more intriguing uncommitted 2024 arms in the province. 6-foot-1, 180-pounds with some projection and strike-throwing abilities. The fastball sat 85-87mph and was effective when working up the zone with it. Only secondary pitch we saw was a slider at 73-76 with sweepy-action and was efficient with both pitches against a strong offensive OBJ lineup. Glenn continues to show well this summer and should be on the radar of college coaches.
2024 RHP/C Luke Glenn took reps on both sides of the ball at the New Year Open but no doubt there's higher upside on the mound. Some strength in the frame at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds and it's a quick, short arm on the mound with a fastball that sat 84-85mph. Only secondary he threw on the day was a changeup at 72-75mph. Still looks a little raw on the mound but there's lots to like in the arm speed and size on the mound. Was also up to 75mph behind the dish with a pop-time of 2.03 and top exit velocity of 86mph.
Glenn, 6-foot, 170-pound, starts in a slightly open stance and gets into launch position with a small leg kick. When he was on time he made some solid contact and finished the day with a 83.1 mph exit velo. Look for Glenn to add strength and continue to improve over the next couple of years.
