Thin athletic frame at 5-foot-10, 135-pounds with plenty of room to add strength. On the mound Stottlemyer starts with a small rocker step to the side, bigger leg lift up and back swinging the lower half shut before moving down the mound with shoulders level and closed. Arm had some quickness to it throwing from a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball sat 77-79 mph with the ability to climb up the zone when needed. Breaking ball looked to still be developing, but flashed solid armspeed on the 11/5 breaker.
