The 5-foot-8, 140-pound middle infield was very impressive on this day. This was the first time we have seen him, and he didn’t disappoint. He displayed obvious athleticism evident by his 6.94 - 60 time. Offensively, he starts in a neutral, slightly open stance. Generates solid bat speed with good use of his core. As he continues to develop physically, I believe he has the potential to be a gap to gap hitter. A 72 mph exit velocity was recorded. Defensively, McCoy displayed solid footwork and the ability to make accurate throws across the infield. A 78 mph positional velocity was recorded, which is a impressive for his age.
