8/10/14 Halstead earned MVP honors for the Black Team going 3-for-7 with a double and a home run in game action. The 6-foot-2, 165-pound right-handed hitter barreled the baseball routinely in batting practice with good extension to his swing from a square stance. Halstead utilizes a leg lift stride foot and incorporates loose hands to create a bat exit velocity of 82 mph. The uncommitted senior displayed good feet and a soft glove hand around the bag at 1B with an accurate 73 mph arm across the diamond.
