6-foot-6, 180-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to begin. Stays behind the baseball well with a direct swing path while showing a feel for the barrel to all fields. Registered a bat exit velocity of 83 mph and ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. Showcased athletic defensive actions while consistently playing through the baseball with accurate 75 mph arm strength across the diamond. The righty sat 78-81 on the mound from a high 3/4 arm slot with some late arm-side run to his fastball. Tends to get around his curveball at 64-65 causing it to flatten out with 10/4 rotation. Also showed a slider at 72-74 that lacked movement and looked more like a changeup.
6-foot-6, 180-pound right-handed hitter went 4-for-7 with a double and two RBI over the span of three games. Long levers leads to some length in the swing, but showed above average barrel awareness in consistently getting to the hitting zone on time all weekend. His frame suits him best to make the switch to first base as his primary position at the next level.
Defensively, Bifano demonstrates good actions and athleticism at 3B. His feet move well and he creates good angles for his throws. He rounds the ball well and gets his momentum going towards his target. A 70 mph velocity was record across the infield.
Offensively, Bifano initiates his swing out of a tall, athletic position with a raised back elbow. His swing is mostly compact, but does tend to occasionally get long causing him to spin off of pitches. A 81 mph exit velocity was recorded along with a 7.22-60.
On the mound, Bifano uses his 6'4 frame to generate good momentum and tilt towards his target. He throws out of a high 3/4 arm slot and does a good job getting on top of his pitches. His FB sat 76-77 mph, along with a 68 mph CH and 63 mph CB. Overall, Bifano is a good athlete and is a player to keep an eye on in the 2021 Class.
