One of the best performances on Scout Day came from right-hander AJ Rogers. A product of Atlantic Canada, Rogers has bloomed into a quality right-hander checking in at a lean 6-foot-5, 165-pounds. The arm moves quick and it's short in the back, living 87-88 with way more in the tank. He also showcased two distinct breaking balls, with his slider showing promise as a future out pitch at 73 mph and 11 inches of negative movement and a curveball at 70 mph. Rogers also flashed a changeup that plays well from his fastball slot at 81-83 mph. Good bullpen day for Rogers, who won't be uncommitted for much longer.
